2019 Chardonnay

Barrel Fermented

The Pershing Vineyard is located in the western side of the Santa Clara Valley in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains and planted with two Chardonnay clones. Clone 4 ( Wente Clone origin) known for its acidity and green apple attributes, and a French clone 70 which adds some fatness with pear and melon attributes. 100% Malolactic fermentation gives this wine a buttery, creamy texture. Barrel fermentation and aging adds complexity of vanilla and spice. On the nose you are greeted with Tropical fruit and lemon meringue and hint of ginger. The palate is smooth and lingering butter creme finish. This wine will pair well with fresh oysters, scallops, grilled fish, Roast Turkey and grilled artichokes.
